Standing Hip-Hop Teacher and Dancer

Mariel Fickat joined the Studio K-danse team in 2016 and the success of her classes allowed her to develop this discipline in our school.

Mariel FICKAT (Pap's) started hip-hop dance in 1999 in Croix de Neyrat with the speakers of Cie K'sure. His inspirations from the start are: Michael Jackson / The Rock Steady Crew / Mr. Wiggles / La Cie Stomp / Sanrancune and the show Drop it by hip-hop choreographer Franck 2Louise.

He cut his teeth as a dancer by joining the Hip-hop Forum that he will do for 8 years. At the same time he joined the Asia Storm crew which will participate twice in Boty (International Bboying Competition) France in Montpellier in 2002 and 2004.

After having faced alone or in a group different Battles of all kinds throughout France, he turns to teaching and transmission for which he has a real passion. After having trained as a teacher and trainer for more than one and a half, he will devote the rest of his artistic career to training dancers and working on the improvement of his art.

His field experience is well established, since he is one of the co-founders, teachers and dancers of the Cie Nomade 'association in Riom for the show “S'peranto” Choreographed by Laurent Kong A Siou, or even “Juste Pour le Kiff »Choreographed by Cédric FICKAT. He worked as a pedagogical-artistic project manager, on the first edition of the Volcan Hip-Hop of the Nomade 'association in Riom, participated in the development of the Battle des Transurbaines de Clermont-Ferrand, co-founder of the Rêves d'un Soir festival in Billom with the Danse en Chantier association, creator of the Battle Beast in Billom.

And finally, he trained many teachers, dancers, and hip-hop crews still active in the region and elsewhere. He works throughout the year in conservatories, associations or private schools such as INS School in Clermont-Ferrand.

A versatile dancer, he is keen to introduce the disciplines of standing dance in hip-hop such as: Poppin ', Locking, Middle School, New School, House, Top rock ... His various mentors instilled in him the humility, respect, a taste for work, a passion for dance and the desire to move forward by surpassing oneself. It is in this perspective, with a big dose of good humor, that he awaits you again this year at Studio K Danse to share and make you discover a subtle, dynamic, full of poetry and true dance !!!
